IT’S HIP ON THE MOTHERSHIP
Apr. 18th, 2010 12:04 pmBack in the 1970s, Parliament-Funkadelic offered a strange but brilliant mix of funk and science-fiction, with their live shows including a 20-foot “mothership” decked out with flamethrowers and disco balls.
The ship disappeared in 1982 and hasn’t been seen since.
The Washington Post (of all places) has an interesting write-up on the legend of the Mothership and whatever happened to it.
Meanwhile, you can always see it on YouTube.
Swing down sweet chariot,
This is dF
