Yr 21st Century Fuck Yeah headline of the day:

The weight exemption is so they could fit in the safety features required for road vehicles, like air bags and crumple zones.
And you can pre-order one with a $10,000 deposit. But be prepared to pay the other $184,000 when it’s ready.
Oh, and you’ll still need a license to fly light sport aircraft.
Anyway, there’s yr flying car. What could go wrong?
Light aircraft on fire,
This is dF

on 2010-07-02 03:00 am (UTC)I read the air speed is only 100mph, so I'm assuming that means it can only fly at low altitudes? Also, given the way air space is so ummm...militarily monitored and patrolled, how can someone be allowed to just up and decide to lift off the freeway and go for a fly? I mean, if you're near an airport and happen to be flying right in the middle of a commercial plane's take-off or landing path, that might be a problem.
Still...that would be a great vehicle. For a drug dealer.
